The Sugar Act
- George Grenville, head of England's treasury, imposed The Sugar Act in 1764 (Class Notes)

The Stamp Act

The Townshend Acts
- The Townshend Acts were introduced in 1767, and taxed daily items such as glass, paper, and tea.
- They were Named after Parliament's treasurer Charles Townshend who proposed the tax. (Class Notes)
